An Alabama high school student was killed Wednesday in an accident, a county coroner’s office said.

Marshall County Coroner’s Office officials said they responded to an accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday near Warrenton Road and Bennett Drive.

The 17-year-old was a student at Brindlee Mountain High School. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alabama state troopers are investigating the accident.
