An Alabama police officer has been relieved of duty after he was charged with criminal offenses.

Officer Justin Davis, 27, a four-year veteran with the Montgomery Police Department faces disciplinary actions with the department following his arrest for an off-duty incident, police officials said.

Davis is charged with domestic violence, assault (third-degree) and assault with bodily fluids. Exactly what led to the situation and exactly what Davis is accused of doing were not immediately clear.
