An Alabama high school student was killed and another person injured Friday night in a wreck on an interstate, police said.

The teen killed was identified as Chris Roberts, a passenger in the vehicle.

The accident happened in Mobile at the exchange between Interstate 65 and Interstate 10 in Mobile, police said.

The vehicle in which Roberts was riding struck a retaining wall, flipped over and then struck another vehicle.

Roberts was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was a sophomore at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the person’s condition was not released.
