The skeletal remains found in an Alabama alley have been identified as a man who had been missing for two weeks. Forensics expert say the man was murdered.
Skeletal remains found on Thursday in an alley on Tuscaloosa Avenue in Birmingham, have been identified as belonging to Darrius Dewayne Brown, 33, of Birmingham.
A passerby spotted the remains on the shoulder of a residential alley. Officials with the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said a postmortem examination determined through dental records that the remains belonged to Brown.
Further examination indicated that he died of a gunshot wound, deputy coroner Bill Yates said.
