An Alabama man was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle fell over and threw him from the vehicle, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Prattville, Alabama, man.

Steven T. Taylor, 61, was fatally injured when the 2007 Harley-Davidson XL Sportster motorcycle he was operating fell over and landed in the roadway.

Taylor was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 173 mile marker, approximately 1 mile north of Montgomery, in Montgomery County.
