Alabama teenager killed after car strikes tree

An Alabama teenager was killed Thursday night when his care left the road and struck a tree, state troopers said.
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, has claimed the life of a Dadeville, Alabama, man.
Tyler Anthony Colvin, 19, was critically injured when the 2008 Honda Civic he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Colvin was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, state troopers said.
Colvin was transported to East Alabama Medical Center, where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on U.S. 280 near the 99 mile marker, approximately one mile west of Auburn, in Lee County.
