Alabama man killed when he loses control of car, strikes tree, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Thursday night after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and struck a tree, Alabama state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Dadeville man.

Anthony C. Tyler, 19, was critically injured when the 2008 Honda Civic he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

Tyler was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to East Alabama Medical Center, where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The crash occurred on U.S. 280 near the 99 mile marker, approximately one mile west of Auburn, in Lee County.
