Officials in North Alabama say more than two dozen dead horses were discovered along with at least 10 more that were starving along with 45 dogs.
The deceased and starving animals were found in Colbert County, WAFF and The Times Daily reported.
Volunteers with the Colbert County Animal Shelter were helping to assess and treat the injured animals.
The shelter was seeking assistance to help the horses due to what they said was an “ongoing cruelty case,” a social media post read.
