A Wednesday wreck left two people dead and three injured, Alabama authorities said.

The wreck happened at approximately 10:15 p.m Wednesday on U.S. 43 South in Russellville, Alabama.

Two people were killed in the wreck, a 38-year-old woman and an 11-year-old child. Their names were not immediately released.

In addition, two other children and an adult woman were injured in the wreck and taken to local hospitals.
