Alabama state representative indicted by federal grand jury

An Alabama state representative was indicted this week by a federal grand jury on charges of obstruction of justice in a fraud scheme.

This indictment is part of the same investigation that led to former state Representative Fred L. Plump, Jr. resigning from the house and later pleaded guilty to obstruction and conspiracy charges.
The indictment against Rogers alleges that he tried to bribe someone to stop them from talking to federal authorities.
