Alabama man charged with stabbing his grandfather over cleaning dispute with mom

An argument led to a grandson stabbing his grandfather in Millbrook.
Cameron Keyontae Jackson, 24, was asked by his mother to clean up around the house on Sept. 23.
“Jackson became irate and verbal and a physical altercation ensued that consisted of Jackson shoving and grappling with [her] causing her to suffer bruising to her right arm, pain to the neck in the left shoulder region,” court documents state. “She [also] injured her left hand causing pain in the vicinity of her left index finger.”
Jackon’s grandfather came to the residence during the altercation and attempted to subdue Jackson until law enforcement could arrive.
“Jackson eventually got free and proceeded to produce a knife and stab [victim] in the abdomen,” the documents state. “Witnesses state that after stabbing [the victim] Jackson proceeded to kick [the victim].”
The Millbrook Police Department arrived on the scene and arrested Jackson. The victim was taken to Baptist South Hospital for treatment. While being treated the victim coded and “was successfully resuscitated.”
Jackson is currently charged with first-degree domestic violence and being held in the Elmore County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
