An Alabama woman was killed Saturday night as she was struck while she walked on a state road, state troopers said.

The crash involved a pedestrian occurred at approximately 7:06 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of an Altoona, Alabama, woman.

Catie K. Caudle, 33, was in the roadway and was fatally injured after being struck by the 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by Belinda N. Galimore, 64, also of Altoona.

Caudle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 132 near the 9 mile marker, within the Altoona city limits, in Etowah County.
