An Alabama man was killed Saturday morning when his motorcycle struck a tree, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of an Ariton, Alabama, man.

Steven C. Davis, 46, was fatally injured when the 2007 Honda Shadow motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree.

The crash occurred on Alabama 10 near the 202 mile marker, approximately one mile east of Blue Springs, in Barbour County.
