Alabama Skies: What are our rain chances looking like?

Ophelia formed in the Atlantic Ocean Friday. Thanks to its proximity to the East Coast, it didn’t have much time to strengthen before heading to land. We won’t have any impact from the tropical storm, but we are watching strengthening system farther out in the Atlantic.

Saturday is going to be another dry, sunny day across the state. We’re still watching for the chance for some showers and storms in parts of the state in a day or two, but confidence in anything significant is decreasing.

North Alabama

Sunny with a high of 86. Clear Saturday night with a low of 57.

Central Alabama

Sunny with a high of 86. Mostly clear overnight with a low of 60.

South Alabama

Sunny with a high near 88. Clear overnight with a low of 59.

Gulf Coast

Sunny with a high near 90. Mostly clear overnight with a low of 66.
