Alabama mother arrested after child found with drug paraphernalia at school

An Alabama mother was arrested after her child was found in school with what officials believe to be drug paraphernalia.

Fox10 News in Mobile reports that Karla Frye has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and chemical endangerment of a child.

Mobile police report that officers responded to local school officials’ request to investigate the discovery of the items at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday.

When contacted by officers, Frye, who is the mother of the child, consented to a search of her residence. Frye was arrested after investigators found drugs during the search.

The Department of Human Resources was notified, and the case has been handed over to the agency for further investigation.
