Alabama man killed when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle strikes tree, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Tuesday night when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the road and struck a tree, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Fayette, Alabama, man.

Jimmy D. Feltman, 65, was fatally injured when the 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree.

Feltman was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 44 mile marker, approximately 9 miles north of Fayette city limits, in Fayette County.
