Alabama investigators want public’s help identifying woman who attempted to cash counterfeit check

Alabama investigators have released photos in the hope of identifying a suspect who attempted to cash a counterfeit check.
Prattville Police released the images of the unknown subject wanted for criminal possession of a forged instrument that occurred, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at about 2:40 p.m. at a financial institution located on Main Street, Prattville, Alabama.
Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business and attempted to cash a counterfeit check with what appeared to be a stolen ID. The suspect fled the business and was last seen driving a grey-in-color passenger car. There is no other information available currently.
The female was seen on video surveillance wearing a green shirt, dark hair, and sunglasses.
