A 4-year-old has died in an Alabama hospital after a crash late Sunday night.

WVTM13 News in Birmingham reports that the 4-year-old girl, identified as Ashley Beltran, was one of four people injured in a single-car accident on Alton Road.

Beltran died shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday after being transported to the Children’s of Alabama hospital.

The three other people injured in the wreck were also transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.

The crash remains under investigation by the Birmingham Police Department.
