An Alabama woman was arrested Friday in Florida, charged with allegedly selling a 14-year-old girl for sex and child pornography.
Melissa Pastor Martinez-Ordonez, 38, of Foley, Alabama, was arrested in Escambia County, Florida, and charged with child abuse, human trafficking and using a communication device to conduct a felony.
The investigation began in February when a Homeland Security agent contacted Florida law enforcement authorities with a suspicion of human trafficking.
Investigators said they believe Martinez-Ordonez sold a 14-year-old girl for sex and child pornography for the sum of $500. She reportedly threatened to report to the authorities the men who engaged in sex with the minor if they didn’t pay her.
She was last being held in the Escambia County Jail on a $770,000 bond.
