Alabama woman killed when car hits embankment, then flips over, state troopers say

An Alabama woman was killed Saturday when her vehicle left the road, struck an embankment, then a tree before flipping over, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:38 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Dadeville, Alabama, woman.

April D. Goggins, 32, was fatally injured when the 2009 Toyota RAV4 she was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment and a tree before overturning.

Goggins was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Buttston Road near, approximately 10 miles north of Dadeville, in Tallapoosa County.
