Tuesday is the day for a break from the extreme heat for some of us! Once rain and storms clear out from the northern region, skies will become sunny with a high of only 80 degrees!
Most of the state will feel at least some difference in the weather Tuesday or Tuesday night and into Wednesday. We’ll have the chance for some severe storms in south Alabama as the cold front moves through. Not everyone will cool off as much as the northern counties, but most of us will feel a reduction in humidity levels.
North Alabama
Showers and storms early, then clearing in the afternoon with a high of 80. Breezy with gusts up to 15 miles per hour. Clear Tuesday night with a low of 63.
Central Alabama
Mostly sunny with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. High of 86. Mostly clear overnight with a low of 62.
South Alabama
Sunny with a slight chance of a shower in the afternoon and evening. High of 95 and heat index of 105. Partly cloudy overnight with a low of 67.
Gulf Coast
Mostly sunny with a high of 97 and heat index of 110. Showers and storms are likely in the afternoon and evening. Cloudy overnight with a low of 72.
