Alabama Skies: More severe weather possible Tuesday

Monday got pretty rough for some of us with severe thunderstorms and even a couple tornado warnings. Tuesday will again bring storms for some with another round of severe weather possible.

A Level 2 risk covers the southern half of the state while two Level 1 zones cover north-central Alabama and the Gulf Coast region. The biggest risks are damaging winds, hail, and heavy rainfall, but we saw in Monday’s storms an isolated tornado is also possible.

North and north-central Alabama will be cooler Tuesday with highs only in the 80s.

North Alabama

Partly sunny with a chance for an isolated shower in the morning with showers and storms becoming scattered in the afternoon. High of 84. Mostly cloudy Tuesday night with a few isolated showers and storms. Low of 68.

Central Alabama

Mostly cloudy with showers and storms likely in the afternoon. A storm or two could be strong to severe. High of 86. A few more showers and storms possible in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Low of 70.

South Alabama
