An Alabama juvenile was in critical condition Wednesday night after police say he was shot.

Montgomery police said officers were called to a report of a shooting at approximately 6:20 p.m. Wednesday to a location on West South Boulevard.

Police said the juvenile sustained a life-threatening wound. Police said persons of interest were taken into custody, but their exact involvement in the shooting was not immediately clear.
