An Alabama man was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash, officials said.

A spokesman with the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said Mickey Ray Calloway, 55, of Trafford, Alabama, was found at 10:48 p.m.on Carson Road North. He was immediately taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead early Wednesday.

Exactly what happened in the accident were not immediately clear. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the accident.
