A former Alabama beauty pageant queen has reportedly been charged in the Bahamas with plotting with two others to kill her husband, a former football player at Auburn.

Lindsay Shiver, 36, of Thomasville, Georgia, was arrested after police in the Bahamas reportedly discovered WhatsApp messages while investigating a break-in at a Guana bar, WHNT-TV reported.

The messages were reportedly located on a phone of one of the bar break-in suspect’s phone.

Lindsay Shiver is accused of plotting to kill her husband, Robert Shiver, also of Thomasville. The couple reportedly had a second home in the Bahamas.

A local Bahamas website reported that Lindsay Shiver was charged with conspiring with her alleged lover, Terrance Bethel, 28, of Abaco, Bahamas, and another man, Faron Newbold.

Lindsay Shiver, whose maiden name was Shirley, was Miss Houston County in 2005 before she was married.

The Thomasville Times-Enterprise reports that Lindsay Shiver was reportedly having an affair with Bethel and that her husband filed for divorce after discovering the relationship.

The planned divorce reportedly initiated the plan to kill Mr. Shiver.
