An Alabama man was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a truck, Alabama state trooper said.

Marcus T. Raney Jr., 48, of Piedmont, Alabama, was killed just before 7 p.m. when his Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a Nissan Frontier on U.S. 279, just west of Piedmont in Calhoun County, troopers said.

Raney was pronounced dead at the scene.
