Alabama sheriff’s deputies are investigating after dead body was found along a roadside Sunday.

The body was found at approximately 6:40 a.m. by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service along the road in the 200 block Quebec Drive.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called in and an investigation begun.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy on the adult male body, which authorities said showed no clear signs of trauma.
