10-year-old girl killed in accident identified, Alabama coroner says

The 10-year-old girl killed Saturday night in a car accident has been identified.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said the victim was Annabelle Mullican, 10, of Mountain Brook, Alabama.

Police responded Saturday evening at approximately 5:27 p.m. to a reported wreck on Cherokee Road, near Overbrook Road.

Police said the car had been spotted moments before the wreck traveling at a high-rate of speed.

Officers responding to the wreck reported finding a woman and two juvenile girls injured. All three victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Annabelle Mullican was reportedly pronounced dead at approximately 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Children’s of Alabama.

Police said the accident is still under investigation.
