A 10-year-old girl has died and two others were injured in a car crash Saturday evening, police said.

The accident happened at approximately 5:27 p.m. on Cherokee Road in Mountain Brook, Alabama, local police said.

The car had reportedly been seen traveling at high speeds on Old Leeds Road just before the crash occurred.

Two juveniles and one adult were injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital. One of the juveniles later died from her injuries.
