An Alabama man has been charged after police say he purposely killed a kitten violently.

Vince Allan Griffin, 30, of Athens, Alabama, has been charged aggravated cruelty to animals, Athens police said.

The case began after police were called after a dead kitten was found in a business parking lot. Investigators said the business’ surveillance video showed that the kitten was killed in an intentionally violent way.

After questioning Griffin, police said he admitted to killing the kitten and was subsequently arrested.
