A 2-year-old Alabama boy has died, three days after he was found unconscious in a family swimming pool, officials confirmed Wednesday.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Damarion Henry, 2, of Birmingham.

He was found Saturday night in an above ground swimming pool at his family home on 74th Place North in Birmingham.

He was transported to Children’s of Alabama for treatment, but died early Tuesday morning.
