An Alabama man was killed early Sunday morning when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a curb, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Schillinger Road near the Semmes city limit.

Troopers said that Korey Scott Koon, 33, of Wilmer, Alabama, was killed when his 2002 Suzuki motorcycle struck a curb.

He was pronounced dead when troopers arrived.
