Three Alabama men have been charged with rape and sodomy after a sexual assault reported last month.

Markell Collins, 22, Jeremiah Deshun Ford, 21, and Robert Lee Thompson, 28, all of Selma, Alabama, were charged with rape and sodomy, Madison police reported.

Police received a complaint from an adult regarding a sexual assault, prompting the investigation.

The assault was reported in June 21.

Collins was being held Friday without bond.

Ford was being held on a $240,000 bond.

Thompson was being held on a $160,000 bond.
