An Alabama teenager died Wednesday afternoon after accidentally drowning at a residence, a north Alabama TV station reported.

The teen was transported to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children after the drowning in the 2400 block of Crestwood Drive in Huntsville, WHNT-TV reported.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 11;30 a.m. Wednesday.

The teenage boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.
