Alabama man killed when his car strikes tree, flips over, troopers report

An Alabama man was killed Wednesday when his car struck a tree and overturned, state trooper reported.

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, has claimed the life of a White Hall man.

Jimmy B. Harris, 56, was fatally injured when the 2004 Cadillac DeVille he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and a guardrail before overturning.

Harris was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 80 near the 108 mile marker, approximately three miles east of White Hall, in Lowndes County.
