Alabama man killed in two-car wreck, Alabama troopers report

An Alabama was killed earlier this week when the vehicle in which he was riding collided with a pickup truck, state troopers reported.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Vinemont, Alabama, man.
Johnny D. McDonald, 83, was fatally injured when the 2017 Cadillac XT5 that he was a passenger in, was struck by a 2007 Toyota Tundra driven by Bertin P. Ortiz, 38, of Birmingham.
McDonald and the driver of the Cadillac, Cynthia D. Goodwin, 57, of Cullman, were both injured and transported by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
McDonald later succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Ortiz was also injured and transported to Cullman County Regional Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 157 near South Johnson Chapel Road, approximately 4 miles south of Danville, in Morgan County.
