A 5-year-old boy drowned in an Alabama late on Saturday, a TV station reported.

The 5-year-old boy was reported missing Saturday evening on Smith Lake near Cullman, WAFF-TV reported.

Authorities searched the lake and eventually found the boy, who the county coroner said died of drowning.
