Alabama teen killed when car strikes utility pole, state troopers say

An Alabama teenager was killed Saturday when his car struck a telephone pole, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Toney juvenile.
The 17-year-old was fatally injured when the 2015 Hyundai Sonata the teen was driving left the roadway and struck a telephone pole.
The youth was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Jeff Road, approximately two miles north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
