Man killed when his car struck another vehicle, head-on; troopers say he wasn’t wearing a seat belt

An Alabama man was killed Wednesday evening when his vehicle collided, head-on with another car.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Tyler, Alabama, man.
Jay D. Morgan, 57, was fatally injured when the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage he was driving collided head-on with the 1996 Nissan Maxima driven by Bryant L. Lawrence, 52, also of Tyler.
Morgan was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lowndes County 9 near Double Church Road, approximately 11 miles west of Mosses, in Lowndes County.
