If you didn’t get rain Monday and don’t get any Tuesday, you may be stuck watering the lawns and gardens for a few days. Except for the Gulf Coast region, rain chances drop quickly for the remainder of this week and maybe into next week.

There were a few communities in Alabama that got some pretty good rainfall Monday. It looks like we’ll have a good chance of isolated to scattered storms Tuesday for central and southern areas with isolated rain chances in northern Alabama.

North Alabama

Mostly sunny with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the late afternoon and evening. High of 89. Mostly clear overnight with a low of 64.

Central Alabama

Fog early, then mostly sunny with a high of 89. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Tuesday night, slight chance of showers. Low of 64.

South Alabama

Mostly sunny with a shower or storm possible in the afternoon and evening. High of 90. Tuesday night, a remaining shower or thunderstorm possible, then partly cloudy. Low of 63.

Gulf Coast

Increasing clouds with showers and storms possible in the afternoon. High of 85. Partly cloudy Tuesday night with a low of 67.
