Police say a 12-year-old Alabama boy was shot and killed Tuesday and three teenagers are charged in connection with the boy’s death.

Troy police said they were called to the 900 block of Pike County Lake Road Tuesday after a report of a shooting.

Officers found the 12-year-old boy dead at the scene and located several other juveniles also at the scene. Police later identified the victim as Jaquez Mirkel Wynn.

Police found the gun believed to have been shot and said they believe the weapon had been stolen from a vehicle on Monday in Troy.

After an investigation, police charged a 15-year-old boy with reckless murder along with breaking and entering a vehicle.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy are also charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, police said.
