An Alabama bicyclist was killed Wednesday after colliding with a dump truck, police said.

The accident happened at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Gulf Shores Parkway.

The bicyclist, whose identity was not immediately released pending next of kin notification, reportedly was pronounced dead at the scene.
