Alabama Skies: Rain and storms return

Warm, moist air has returned, bringing with it more widespread showers and thunderstorms across the state.
Rain begins in the morning in northern regions of Alabama while we may have some sunshine in other parts of the state before storms move in.
We’re not expecting severe storms today, but we could see some storms on the strong side or some showers with heavy rainfall. It also looks like we are beginning another stretch of days with similar weather.
North Alabama
Mostly cloudy with some showers in the morning, becoming likely with a few scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. High of 78. Mostly cloudy tonight with a few isolated showers. Low of 60.
Central Alabama
A few showers early, then showers and storms likely in the afternoon and evening. High of 78. Mostly cloudy tonight with a low of 62.
South Alabama
Party sunny with showers and storms becoming likely in the afternoon. High of 81. A chance of showers and storms tonight with a low of 62.
Gulf Coast
Partly sunny early, then showers and storms this afternoon. High of 86. Mostly cloudy tonight with scattered showers and storms. Low of 67.
