An Alabama man admitted to murdering his wife with a claw hammer, a television station reported.

Ronnie Scott Cupps, 40, of Huntsville, pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife, Teresa Ellen Cupps whose body was found in the couple’s home in October 2022, WHNT-TV reported.

Investigators said Ronnie Cupps and his wife were involved in a domestic argument when he struck her with a claw hammer in the head and face.

As part of a plea agreement, Ronnie Cupps was sentenced to 30 years in prison and waived his right to appeal.
