An Alabama woman was killed early Friday when her vehicle collided, head-on with an 18-wheeler semi-truck, state troopers reported.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4 a.m. Friday, and claimed the life of a Hillsboro woman.

Starshekia D. Lyle, 29, was fatally injured when the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander that she was driving collided head-on with the 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Lori Robinson, 53, of Gadsden.

Lyle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 67 near the 26-mile marker, inside Sommerville city limits, in Morgan County.
