A pedestrian was killed early Thursday after being struck by an 18-wheeler truck on an interstate, police investigators said.

Montgomery police said the accident occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Interstate 85 near Eastern Boulevard.

Investigators said the man, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
