An Alabama man was killed early Monday when his pick-up truck struck a tree, state troopers reported.

Wyatt W. Barnhill, 58, of Loxley, Alabama, died from injuries sustained when his Ford F-150 truck left Jack Williams Road in Mobile County and struck a tree.

Barnhill was transported to a hospital, but died a short time later of his injuries, Alabama state troopers said.

The accident happened approximately 5 miles west of Semmes, Alabama, trooper said.
