Alabama man killed when his classic car collides, head-on with large SUV

An Alabama man was killed Thursday night when his classic car collided head-on with a SUV, state troopers reported.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:57 p.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Cordova man.

Billy R. Henson, 81, was critically injured when the 1964 Ford Falcon that he was driving collided head-on with the 2011 Toyota Sienna driven by Daniel L. Wilcutt, 50, of Danville.

Henson and Wilcutt were both transported to Brookwood Medical Center in Jasper for treatment.

Henson was later transported to Huntsville Hospital where he succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased on Thursday, May 11.

The crash occurred on American Junction Road, approximately 2 miles east of Parrish, in Walker County.
