An Alabama man was arrested and charged with the kidnapping and murder of a pregnant Alabama teen, investigators said Wednesday.

Jackson County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office investigators said they believe a body found early Wednesday is that of 19-year-old Anastasia Gilley, but said they are awaiting an autopsy to be 100 percent certain.

Gilley was reported missing one one week ago from her home in Jackson County, Florida. Gilley was reportedly four months pregnant at the time of her death.

Jackson County Sheriff Donald Edenfield said a suspect was arrested earlier in the week, but that the man was uncooperative.

When the victim’s body was found near Headland, Alabama, investigators charged Marquis Devan McCloud with capital murder during the kidnapping, deputies said.

How Gilley was killed was unclear as was whether or not the suspect and the victim may have known one another.
