Alabama police are investigating after a body was found in a national forest on Saturday.

Talladega police say they were notified of the discovery of a dead white female on Saturday.

The body was found in the Talladega Ntaional Forest, approximately 1 mile from the Blue Hole.

The body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for identification and to determine the cause of death.
